Localization of TurboCalc
=========================
TurboCalc 3.0 uses locale.library to get the texts of the current
language (both for requesters and menus).
This information is stored in TurboCalc.catalog and TurboCalcMenu.catalog
in the drawer of the currently selected language.
This way it is really easy to translate TurboCalc to new languages
(besides the two 'default' languages English and German (Deutsch)).
So if you are familiar to one of the above mentioned language and to
another one and you want to translate the texts to that language,
please feel free to do so.
You may distribute and release these new text files (without my
written permission), as long as
* they reflect the correct sense (i.e. do not confuse users by
curious texts!)
* you distribute it for free (or max. a small fee)
* you send me a copy of these texts (either allowing me to
distribute it or only for my private use)
* you only distribute your file, none of the files from the
TurboCalc-diskette
Otherwise you need my written permission to release a translation
of the TurboCalc-texts.
Hint: If you want to translate the texts, simply contact me.
* Thus I can tell you if the texts are already translated in that
language and where you can get that files.
* I can send you the texts from the latest version (in a special
form). This way you do not have to redo your work for the
next version(s) and it is really easier to create the files.
* I can give you some hints and advises concerning the texts.
* I can give other uses a chance to get your localized texts (if you
agree) - your name will be put in the about-requester and in
the next version of the user manual.
You can contact me at
s_friedr@ira.uka.de (preferred)
ukrc@rz.uni-karlsruhe.de
or simply send a letter to the support asking them to pass it
to me (Michael Friedrich).
Yours
Michael Friedrich
